Sharing the excitement of Vaisakhi with Manukau Libraries

14/04/2010

From Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 April six library branches were honoured to host the Vaisakhi Festival Celebration with the Anand Isher Educational and Community Trust, who provided visitors to Manukau Libraries with colourful musical instrument performances and folk dances.

Each session attracted a large group of people, with on average around 100 people attending, having a whole lot of fun with the young Punjabi performers. Trustee Raj Singh says his performers were happy and proud to share their cultures with the community.
