The Māori Services team will provide specialist knowledge and advice to assist Māori in locating whakapapa and information on kauapapa Māori, support the community through promoting the range and use of Māori Services and events in libraries and enhance access to Māori collections.

I work at the Manukau Research Library. My role involves the selection and purchasing of Māori resources for all our libraries, and providing specialist advice and information to members of the public based upon these resources. My role is Outreach Co-ordinator for Māori Services. As part of this role, I promote our Māori collection to the public, liaise with Kura, Kohanga and Wharekura, co-ordinate Māori Events, plan and develop systems targeted for Māori living in Manukau City, but more importantly assist Māori in enhancing their awareness of Māori resources that are available at our libraries.
