Manukau memories.

Oral history

The Manukau Research Library holds a small collection of oral history recordings. Most items are listed on the Community Archive (National Register of Archives and Manuscripts).

Most of the oral history recordings can be listened to at the Research Library. In a few cases access restrictions apply. In many cases transcripts are also available.

The Research Library has oral history recording material available for loan to Manukau resident and heritage organisations. Recordings must be undertaken according to the NOHANZ (National History Association of New Zealand) code of ethical and technical practice, and copies deposited with the Research Library. Email the Manager Research Services, bruce.ringer@manukau.govt.nz, for details.
