This list provides guidance to the location of local body archives relating to Papakura District Council and its predecessor and associated bodies.
Papakura District was formed in 1989 from Papakura City with the addition of the Takanini, Alfriston and Ardmore areas from Manukau City and the Drury and Karaka areas from Franklin County. See: ‘A brief history of local government in Papakura’. This lists Papakura local bodies chronologically. An alphabetical list by name of local authority is also available.
