'Saturday Kids Impossible Projects' Krew: "Nothing is impossible!"

On the last Saturday of each month the SKIP Krew get together to try and solve the Impossible Project given to them (with the help of Chris and an assisting librarian). Through our Impossible Projects we aim to support kids to use, read and borrow our library books.

We use SKIP to build a stronger relationship with our weekday kids; however, we also want to construct a bond with the kids that only use the library on the weekends and give them confidence to come every weekend and use the library.

Age limit is 7+ (under 6 must be supervised) and equipment is provided unless stated otherwise.  

Where: Tupu Youth Library
When: Last Saturday of each month (some dates may vary)

K.E.W.L. Kids Club

Knowledge - Enjoyment - Wonder - Learning

Children's book clubs with fun activities to foster the enjoyment of reading. K.E.W.L. Kids Club is aimed at primary school-aged children.

When: Fourth Sunday of each month at 3:00pm (2011 dates)

Where: Highland Park Library
When: Fourth Wednesday of each month at 4:00pm
Approx: 60 minutes

Where: Howick Library
When: Last Friday of each month at 4:00pm

Where: Māngere Bridge Library
When: First Friday of each month at 3:30pm

W.A.S.A. (Wednesday After School Activity) Club

Aimed at ages 6-14, with different themes each month.

When: Every Wednesday after school, 3.30pm - 4.30pm.

Kidz space storytime

A session for school-aged children to share their love of books and join in with story and craft activities.

Where: Manukau Library
When: Every Saturday (except for school holidays) at 11:00am
Approx: 60 minutes.
