Summer reading programme.

Manukau Libraries’ Summer Reading Programme is an annual citywide event aimed at bringing families and libraries together to encourage lifelong learning through literacy.

Parents sign children up at their local library and track their reading progress throughout the summer period.  Participants receive incentives to record programme milestones.  Using web challenges, book lists and other fun activities our staff will assist you in finding the right books for you and your child.

Every year you get the chance to participate in the summer reading challenge. You get to read lots of books, attend fun events and win fabulous prizes. Be sure to check here regularly for more updates about the Summer Reading Programme.

The Summer Reading Programme 2009 theme and starting dates will be announced later this year, and we have some exciting events planned for all participants!
