Collection

Manukau Libraries collection includes specialised materials suitable for people with vision and hearing impairments:

• Audio books
• DVDs (caption)
• Large print books.

Assistive technologies

Specialised technologies and equipment are also available to assist people with vision impairments.

Hardware:

• Visionboard – A keyboard with over-sized keys
• Modular TS magnifier – A free standing 'hands-free' magnifying glass.

Software:

• Magnifier – A Microsoft magnification application available on all our learn.net computers which enlarges specific screen areas
• Zoomit – A magnification application available on all our learn.net computers which enlarges the entire screen.
